Does Private Gun Ownership Makes Us Safer?

Republicans make up imaginary reasons to justify owning guns. But guns are seldom used successfully in self-defense. When they are it’s prominent news. On the other hand, 80 people a day are killed by flesh ripping, bone crushing, nerve ripping bullets. In reality, the main reason for owning guns is to shoot them. This creates these problems:

In 2007 there were:
- 326 justifiable homicides
- 613 accidental deaths
- 12,632 homicides
- 17,352 suicides

From experience gained in the military and as a first responder — there is no reason— none, for any civilian to have access to a weapon of war! 🤬💔🖤
