Ian needs recommendations, badly. I've been in a bit of a rut and it's affecting my search algorithms. I've got credits to burn, so hit me with ONE recommendation. Things I DON'T want: nonfiction, LitRPG, erotica, zombies, anything that doesn't have scifi/fantasy elements, licensed properties (No Star Wars/Trek/Marvel/DC), grimdark, horror.
Things I like: swashbuckling swords & sorcery, space opera, first contact, cyberpunk, steampunk, weird west (1/2)

The Refreshing Hopefulness of Becky Chambers’ Monk and Robot Books.

The premise is simple: in a thriving, harmonious world, Sibling Dex has a bit of a crisis. “Sometimes,” A Psalm for the Wild-Built begins, “a person reaches a point in their life when it becomes absolutely essential to get the fuck out of the city.”

@corlin This is a possibility. I really enjoyed Becky Chambers' Wanderers series. It introduced me to the genre.
