I remember how we were protesting even then that there was too much plastic in the world! (1972). We haven't really done well in getting rid of it, though, have we?
@homebird Get rid of it? Why it's part of a complete breakfast now.
@MidnightRider Right? I was looking around the house the other day, counting up all the plastic. I mean, what does NOT contain a bit of it? Almost nothing! What's the alternative? Cut down all the trees? Mine all the world's metal resources? I mean, its a problem, either way!
@homebird Go back to glass where applicable? Sure it's heavier and more dangerous when it breaks but it isn't in my liver.
@MidnightRider Yeah. I don't really know what the answer is, but yes. I bought a cloche for the garden the other day, it wasn't cheap. Was disappointed that it was flimsy plastic, when it arrived. I was thinking it should be glass too but then in the garden, it would last a week before something got it broken! (probably me, tripping up!) It's a tough problem. But yeah, those micro plastics.... evil little things.
