@p3R1n01D I also have a couple of these for throwing over myself while sitting. 100% wool.

Oh, that's gorgeous! I love the hood, those make such a difference. I bet it's really warm, too! I'm surprised I don't have one, they're really comfortable.

The shorter ones like you have might be more practical, the long ones look hazardous on stairs without modification.

I work from a home office on the ground floor with my desk in the corner, so you read my mind re sitting at the PC! It stays warm enough, but the other side of the wall can be -20 on a midwinter night!

@p3R1n01D Yep, it gets pretty chilly here too and with the cost of living atm in the UK, my heating is set for only 11C/ 12C at the most. So yeah, got to layer up!

@homebird
Wow, that's a pretty modest setting! Gotta do what you've gotta do, though. A lot of people in the mountains around here keep their homes at about that.

We keep most of the house fairly cool, heating certain rooms individually. Dad's approaching 80, so he cranks it up a bit. 😉

I think keeping the temperature down is healthier for you. Not as much of a shock when you go outside, and you're already partly dressed for it!

@p3R1n01D Needs must, Mike! I'd prefer to set it higher but the cost of electricity & gas now is ridiculous. Just can't afford it. I keep one room warmish with clay pots and tea lights and stay mostly in that room. As long as I can avoid damp in the house, I can cope. It's a long and miserable time until Spring though!
