Russia's one path to victory in Ukraine leads through minds and mouths in Washington, DC. Russian and Chinese propaganda therefore celebrates the inability of Congress to pass aid for Ukraine, and praises those who hinder the passage of the bill. But propaganda memes that China spreads (and some American leaders repeat) about the war are of Russian origin. Russia is the leader at this; China is imitating Russian techniques.

Big Oil is Quietly Paying State Legal Officials to Kill Climate Litigation

Honolulu v. Sunoco LP is the first climate liability lawsuit against fossil fuel companies to be greenlit for trial.
However, 20 Republican state AGs have filed petitions asking SCOTUS stop the trial. The AGs are part of the Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) a “pay-to-play” organization created to allow industries to wash money into RAGA, which is used to fuel election campaigns.

Earlier this week, the Arizona Supreme Court ruled to enforce the state’s 1864 abortion ban—a law created before women had the right to vote and before Arizona was even a state.

Physicians are now on notice that all abortions, except those necessary to save a woman’s life, are illegal.

Fun fact: the man who presided over the legislature at the time that this law was passed had married a 12-year-old, then a 15-year-old and then a 14-year-old—in that order.
