@Tee_Lynn @hallmarc @Astartiel I pointed this out on Twitter several years ago. The goal of the GOP is to permanently sideline Dems and render them powerless, enabling the setup of a dictatorship of some kind, likely with theocratic overtones, if not an outright theocracy.
@POOetryma @Tee_Lynn @Astartiel although I think the GOP falling hook, line, and sinker for MAGA orthodoxy and Qanon craziness makes them susceptible to control by oligarchs like Thiel and Musk and manipulation of course by other totalitarians like Putin. Those tech bros are hardcore libertarians and hadn't yet found away to bring about their libertarian wet dream within the current systems. So they will happily try to burn it all to the ground to set up their fictional level playing field.
