@Anemone Indeed, I love hearing things like that. Kindness is free right! A smile can change someone’s day. I am so happy people read my posts, it kinda makes ne feel of value in some way. I isolate and have depression pretty bad. I know the difference a kind word can make, hence, that’s kinda my thing now!
@gregscloud1 I tend to be very intuitive and seem to know what people I know need and when they need it. As for strangers, it's the little daily things, like if a car lets you out into the traffic, or when a neighbor does something thoughtful. It was hard to decide how to vote, so I decided to yap about it instead! 😁
@mightymite it truly is the little things that sometimes make a big difference. I dont get out much, but when I’m an a call, if someone has genuinely helped, I often ask to talk to a supervisor to thank them for the call reps help. Ive worked those jobs, they can be stressful. A genuine compliment can really make someone’s day better. A smile is free! It may be the kindest thing or interaction someone has in some time. We never know what another may be going through right! Thanks for your share.
@gregscloud1 Right!
@gregscloud1 I've done both - helped with groceries and paying for a meal, in a way. No one should go hungry.
@TheresaVermont that is great to hear. I love it when people share, it can give others ideas they may not have thought about doing. God bless your heart and I think that the food pantries are a blessing to many people for sure.
@gregscloud1 Community food shelves are a thing here, like https://www.auntdotsplace.com/
@gregscloud1 I wouldn't say one over another, I just like making a kind connection for anything. Yesterday we helped a woman with a walker who was taking cases of pop home - but then later I told a woman how much I loved her hat and she was just as pleased to have the connection. #Kindness is an energy we project not always something we do.
