@LadyT, my ref is intended to differentiate between 2 things. The first, being assertive and stating one's needs or opinions in a respectful way, which is healthy. The 2nd, to which this applies, is purposefully berating or putting someone down without reason. They are two completely different things. Assertiveness is not bad. However, willfully berating someone or harshly criticizing them over a minor mistake would fall into the latter category. I hope that helps clarify my intended meaning?"
