just took the dogs out. big ol' black bear in the side yard (about 25 yards from where we are). no experience guessing weight of bears but a human that big would be about 400 pounds. front yard is fenced, dogs were safe. bear bounded off behind the shed and across the street. scary moment but all good. and that is why i have locks on the garbage barrel. I've cleaned up after them too many times. btw, the locks work great. they've wrestled it all over the yard and it's stayed secure
