This is the best I can do with M20 (the Trifid Nebula) and M21 (the star cluster in the lower left) this late in its season. It's down in the murky area near the horizon and I can't get it for long. I'll have to make it a priority for next summer. #Astronomy #Astrophotography
@catherineryanhyde I need to get a telescope at some point. I remember going out to Scicon when I was a kid and being one of only a handful of kids who chose to do the stargazing thing. My memory is fuzzy since that was many years ago, but it was so fun, and it cemented my love for astronomy.
@catherineryanhyde Yeah, but sadly being in the california valley pollution and light make it difficult to see much.
@glassramen Understood. A few nights in the desert is highly recommended if you can manage it.
@glassramen In the mean time, unaided eye observing is generally underrated and can be a true pleasure.
