@Bliss
So, CoSoer's: Have you had any experiences you consider a "ghost" story or encounter?
@AskTheDevil Oh totally. I got a few that put some real fear in me, and many that weren't so bad. There are two that freaked me out the most from when I was a late teen. Both were related to my aunt's house. The first, I had something pull the hoodie off my face (that I had strategically placed over it because I was getting creeped the hell out and was trying to sleep. If I had a higher character limit I'd be able to tell the whole story, but it ending with whatever it was laughing at me.
@glassramen
Brrr! Sounds creepy!
If you feel up to telling more at some point, the suggested method of posting a longer story into a thread here is to start the post, then reply to your own post, if that helps!
@AskTheDevil I could do that right now actually. /story begin.
1/?
So my aunt's place at the time was known to be haunted, not just by my family, but by the people who also lived in neighboring units.
There were some weird happenings over the time they lived there. Picture frames moving a bit, things being tossed around, even the bathroom lights being turned off when my cousin was showering. Fun stuff really, but at one point, later on in their time living there, I stayed over.
@AskTheDevil 2/?
So when I was there, everything was pretty normal. That night, it was just me, my aunt, and one of my cousins. I was upstairs playing fallout 3 I think on the xbox, and the two of them were downstairs. I remember I played the game for a while, and by the time I was ready to go to sleep they had already done so.
I first tried lying down in bed upstairs, but felt a bit off and so decided that I'd head downstairs to sleep on the recliner.
@AskTheDevil 3/?
The layout of the living room was this. You enter from the front door, immediately to your right is the stairwell. The stairs went up a bit, turned left and continued, then turned left again and reached the second floor.
The recliner has it's back against the wall, just past the stairwell, so if you're in the recliner to your left is the stairs, then the door. You can not see into the stairwell from that position, and you're facing towards the center of the room.
@AskTheDevil 4/?
I had lied down in the recliner, and had my hoodie over me, but not my face yet. I had reclined, and was trying to go to sleep. The lights were all off, except that in the stairwell.
My aunt and cousin were asleep on the two couches for some reason.
I was lying there for a good 20 minutes, and something kept feeling off. It felt like someone was watching me. At first it was just a bit weird, but I continued to feel more and more uncomfortable as time passed.
@AskTheDevil 6/?
AND THEN IT STARTED PULLING DOWN ON THE HOOD.
I can't remember how many times, it had to be at least 4 times I slid my hand up to my face and pushed the hood back up. Each time it just gently pulled it down again.
I'm getting chills remembering it, but the worst part had yet to come!
After the final time I pushed it back up, the fingers on my head released and I thought it was over. IT WAS NOT!
@AskTheDevil 8/?
So there I was, like 2am or something, out in the middle of winter, cold as hell. I decided to have a cigarette to calm down.
I opened the door to look inside and my cousin had woken up. He was asking what was going on and I told him to get the hell outside with me.
I gave him the rundown on what it was that got me running outside like a bat out of hell, and he agreed that was some shit. He ended up waking his mother up, and we all stayed outside for a time.
@AskTheDevil 9/?
So by this point we were all set on leaving the place for the night. You might think okay, that's the end not much more to tell right? WRONG!
Because I AM DUMB! I decided... to go back in!
I headed inside, and began to walk up the stairs! And what happened when I did? Well, I'll tell you. As I went up, I began to have breathing problems. Like something was constricting my chest, and when I hit that top step, I froze.
@AskTheDevil 10/10?
I didn't see anything when I got to the top, I just locked up. Couldn't breathe and stood there for a minute. I was staring into my aunt's room, and after what felt like forever, I finally was able to move and ran the fuck out.
I went back one other time there, and it was while not as disturbing, equally shit since I saw a black mist over the bed I was lying in moments before.
There is another story concerning my aunt, but that's for another time(I saw the thing!)
@glassramen That does sound like something was messing with you.
@AskTheDevil Yeah, whatever it was it sounded like a little girl, but after the third encounter, I am convinced it was no such girl. That thing was down right creepy looking! I can tell that story next time though, don't wanna spill it all at once.
Not even exaggerating though, like that really did happen. It was one of the worst experiences, cause it didn't just feel like a spirit, it felt... bad. Real bad. Like it was messing with me for more than just fun.
@AskTheDevil 7/?
A few seconds had gone by, and though I was already able to build a two story house with the amount of bricks I shat, the damn thing wanted to send a message.
It fuckin laughed at me! I could tell by the direction of the sound it was in the stairwell when it laughed and it took a couple minutes of psyching myself up before I jumped out of the chair and quickly ran out the front door. Those few seconds of quickly trying to unlock that door were the most heart wrenching.
