If you ever publish a table book of your stunning photos, please let me know. I am thoroughly enjoying what you post. The detail is just amazing.
@CherNohio Thank you, I am honored! I've sold my images in a couple of galleries and on my website for many years but I had to step back a couple of years ago. I have been caregiving for aging parents. I'm working on passing the torch to other family members so I can get a break....and get back to serious photography again. I am planning on moving to Alaska once my help is not needed here. Get closer to my daughter and back into the endless beauty of that state. And maybe a book then!
@gettinaway
I wondered if you had sold at galleries. Your work certainly is worthy of that. I remember your mentioning moving back to Alaska and to be near your daughter. I love that is to be in your near future.
@CherNohio When my dad's health got real bad I pulled my pictures from the galleries. I was spending most of my time with him and I didn't have the time for galleries. Now mom and mom-in-law are struggling. I am ready to be closer to my daughter. She lives with cerebral palsy and will need some more help down the road. But she doesn't want to leave Alaska. Once I am there I can help her and also do some exploring.
@CherNohio Photography and the outdoors have always been my escape. I can take hours to hike a couple of miles. One of my brothers told me he likes hiking with me because he sees so much more.
My wife passed away shortly after my daughter was born. She grew up with me carrying her on my hikes. I think that is one reason she loves her remote life so much now.
@CherNohio We both loved those hikes when she was little. Now she likes to bring a book along so she can find a quiet place to read. She knows I am so slow I am never far away!
@gettinaway
I would imagine the hikes to be intensely satisfying. The special bond with your daughter on those hikes makes the photos even more special.
Your eye captures such beauty. I feel as if I’m right there with every photo.
