Just watched the 2003 movie, The Snow Walker.
With my daughter living on the tundra in remote Alaska. I am always drawn to it. It's a survival story. Near the end of the movie the pilot wakes to find the woman gone. He follows her tracks in the snow to an owl. There is an old First Nation belief if you hear an owl call your name you will soon die.
The night my wife passed, after everyone I had called left, I went outside to sit. It was around 3:30am. An owl landed nearby and started hooting.

I have heard the same thing from family members. Owls & ravens.

@flygande_ren It's been almost 38 years and I can still hear the owl calling. I will never forget it.
