... he would've very likely careened off the steep hillside and, well... The outcome would've been much worse.
Yes, vehicles can be replaced whereas my son cannot. Physically, he's banged up and has a bunch of cuts from broken glass. X-rays & an MRI indicated no new major injuries, including no new trauma to areas damaged from the rollover in April.
16 and I are so relieved he's home and in good spirits, all things considered. However, I'm pissed off about this situation as a whole.
@fugitive247 (((((hugs))))) I'm glad he's OK.
@fugitive247 that is scary! Glad your son was not hurt badly.
It sounds very upsetting. One of the hardest things is it’s so easy to focus on the disaster part - which is completely valid - but forget to consider it could’ve been so much worse, as the LEO said. Husband recently fell, broke his face, brain bleeds, etc and is slowly recovering. It’s been so hard …BUT he’s not paralyzed or worse, which could’ve easily happened.
I’m glad your son will be ok. I hope this means the end of all the mishaps.
Take care, all.
How scary!!! Maybe get his neck checked out?
He had x-rays & an MRI. No significant new injuries & no added trauma to injuries sustained from his rollover in April.
Geez the poor kid! We've had deer dart out at us in the past. Ugh.
That’s a great update. May it continue!
Good morning, CoSo. Thank you all for your compassion and concern last night. Surprisingly, son's either doing much better than expected considering his car *did* land upside-down, or the body aches haven't set in yet. Other than the glass cuts and a few abrasions, only his neck is bothering him.
His car was hauled to our mechanic, so that's our first stop this morning. Hopefully his glasses, wallet, keys, and our family's laundry are still in it. We'll play it where it lands. Love all y'all. 💖
