in case any of you are bored today:
Vinegar Pie
2 tbsp butter
1/2 cup sugar
3 tbsp flour
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp ground allspice
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp salt
1 egg
2 tbsp vinegar (preferably apple cider vinegar)
1 cup water
1 8-9" pie shell (it says 8", but my smallest pie pan is 9". works fine)

🥰 Joy! Up until a few years ago, there was a fabulous mom & pop restaurant on the courthouse square in Mountain Home that used to make this delicious classic dessert. With any luck, future generations will keep this traditional recipe in circulation. 😍
