I've been following this case for a few years. Yes, in light of evidence that's finally been brought to bear, it's shamefully clear that the sentence has stood for this long due to grave factors which include systemic racism, improper law enforcement procedures, and a state court that would rather see a person of color wrongfully executed than admit to and fix its inexcusable actions against a non-white citizen. Marcellus Williams never deserved what's already happened.
