People who feel that they need to tell you, a lot, that they're "perfectly normal" are usually pretty weird, and not in a good way.

Normal people don't even think about being normal. People who are weird in a good way are happy to admit they're weird.

"Normal" is boring, but each to their own. What's simultaneously amusing and aggravating is when others try to rebrand one's weirdness when addressing it.

Them: Let's go with "atypical". No? "Unusual"? "Quirky"?

Me: Ooh. Three swings and three misses

Them: How about "eccentric"?

Me: That term is for rich people. 🤣
