Yes, i agree he´s one of the best. Although i was born in the city where Rembrandt was born, i have always prefered van Gogh. Vermeer is up there too.

@freddyvandam I agree, van Gogh is definitely one of the best! I love Rembrandt as well, along with Degas and Monet. How cool that you were born in the same town as Rembrandt! That's really cool!

A lot of people think he´s from Amsterdam, but he moved there later in life. But he did his most famous work in Amsterdam.
And yes Monet is great as well.

@freddyvandam interesting! I just learned something new! Thank you! There's a psychologist, Kay Redfield Jamison. She wrote a great book called Touched With Fire. It's about artists who have a mental illness. She really dives into the history of writers, artists, musicians, etc. She also wrote about her own battles with having Bipolar Disorder. She's so humble and admits that she doesn't take the therapeutic dosage of her medication, because she doesn't want to feel blunted.
