sweet sweet vindication... I have a track coming out on a compilation on a well respected dnb label, being mastered by one of the 'best in the business' and I got the master back (which sounded overblown and terrible) pointed that out. The label boss said they are the best, etc. Eventually sent it back. Msg from Mastering Engineer "im so so sorry, had an 8db double linked chain on it, was overblown to FUCK" and I get a big apology from label boss lol. 15 years and I still get questioned π
@lilyunsub how could you possibly know anything? You're a GIRL! π
You said the magic words - dnb - I'm checking out "Four Degrees" now. Do you press vinyl? When's the track in question being released?
@lilyunsub I think I know more women into dnb in my DJ circles than dudes, actually π€ I'm mostly a liquid guy, but I'm not super strict about labels, I like tracks that good and shakes booties. And move my sub π
I'll pick up Four Degrees and do a mix with it this week. it's been a while since I did dnb. Most all of my club work is 80s and disco/disco house. Dnb is the province of forest parties for me π²π²πΆππΊπ΅π²π²
@formica this makes me happy in more ways than one! To me dnb is the closest energy to what we normally run at and there is so little of it with feminine energy that we literally had to make full sets of it ourselves to be able to play the energy we wanted to. Happy to send a few more chunes your ways if you'd like too β€οΈ
