Does going to a movie in a theater constitute "crossing a picket line" in terms of supporting SAG-AFTRA and the WGA? The wife and I want to see a couple of movies coming out, but supporting the creators is pretty important to us.

This is the best combat video out of Ukraine I have yet seen. UKR infantry assault dug in RUS position in a forest. You get to see them plan their attack, approach the target, assault, overwatch, cover, clear the objective, and capture POWs. It also demonstrates that UKR forces are probably the most experienced force in Europe today. Their calm under fire must be seen to be believed. Helmet cam, fifteen minutes, high def.

And there it is - police admit they were "too afraid of being shot" and stood around for forty minutes while eight year olds were being torn apart by cavitating 5.56mm rounds unleashed by a lone madman to do anything about it.

Our wildly overmilitarized police are terrified of confronting people with assault weapons, but the Reich Wing tells us we don't have a gun problem in this country, it's *throws dart* a door problem.

They also lied about engaging the killer but failing to stop him because he had body armor on. He was wearing a plate carrier, but had no plates in it.

Gosh, what a coincidence. The police, now being accused of standing around for 30 to 40 minutes and letting the shooter just kill children because they wouldn't go in and confront him, now have an 18 minute gap in their police scanner archive right when the shooting was happening.

Must be the same technical malfunctions that occur when Black men trip and fall fifteen times getting out of the back of a cop car and the bodycams and dashcams stop working.

Why are American religious extremists so profoundly bad at false flag incidents?

I mean, look at this. It's like they can't even plug "what does graffiti look like" into Google. The little curlycues on the ones and the tidy, even script doesn't look like "antifa", it looks like someone with "Live, Laugh, Love" in their bathroom.

And then the "molotov cocktail that failed to ignite" totally doesn't scream "we didn't want to burn our own building down". Nope. Not at all.

Spent the weekend in the Black Rock Desert, getting ready for Burning Man. Our camp stores the vast majority of our equipment in shipping containers out there on a private plot, so that we're not burning tons (literally) of carbon every year to haul it back and forth. We've been doing it this way since 2007. This picture is from Sunday morning; the wife and I went out to enjoy the desolation before coming home.

Good afternoon . Streaming until I head out to the city for Purple Disco Machine tonight. Mostly 80s, mostly vinyl. Intro song before I get going.

Iran? Russia? Joint op? Far too pro to be MAGAs, obvs. I don't know how the beast is received around here; the source is the feds themselves.

I haven't seen any of this talked about in the brouhaha over last night's "moment". But it was the first thing that came to mind when it crossed my various screens.

Perhaps he'd have more awareness and sensitivity to Jada's alopecia as a result. Then again, Chris Rock has been known much of his life for not being able to discern sarcasm from seriousness, and it's defined him as a person, to the point he was told a few years ago he might be autistic. Despite the stigma of mental health, he sought diagnosis, and discovered that while he isn't autistic, he has NVLD:

Chris Rock did a fantastic documentary over a decade ago called "Good Hair" about the chemical and mechanical damage that Black women do to their hair to make it "more white", among other things. He was inspired to make it after his daughter asked why she didn't have "good hair". It is almost universally praised, and won a special award at Sundance in 2009.

I did a mostly-90s industrial set for some friends of mine on Friday that turned out really well. There's some 21st century stuff in here too. Nine inch Nails, Front Line Assembly, Apoptygma Berzerk, Front 242, Ministry, Consolidated, etc. Includes the first edit I consider complicated enough to call my own remix.

Sunday morning vinyl. Mostly 80s, some 90s, one 2019 cover of a 70s song. I ran through this once yesterday and it sounded pretty good (but I inevitably screw up when someone's watching 😜). Trying a new camera angle too. Pregame song to start at 95 bpm before the main mix starts.
