Honest question. What is it with the horror genre. I don't understand the affection. I never enjoyed it in any form. I know it has been a part of human culture for a very long time. And perhaps there is some evolutionary reason for its appeal. But it neither scares me, nor intrigues me. I find most of it boring, and repetitive. Horror in all its forms leave me flat and without any thrill.
Maybe it's because I have witnessed some small real horror. And it is usually stupid and mundane.
