If you like meatloaf, try making it with unprepared stovetop dressing as the bread crumbs. If you never have before, of course.

I think it's discretionary to your preference. I think half an pouch per 1lb of meat* is good. You can save the other half for future use and just cut ingredients in half to make an small side of stuffing. That's what I do. I love stuffing so much, as an bachelor, I'll make an box of dressing and have that as my meal. 😆 Insane! I know!
I remember my mom's dressing was so good growing up, but when I make it today, I omit the gibblets.
