@evamarie I just read that article last night. Then I went down the Pompeii rabbit hole and read articles arguing back and forth whether these poor souls died instantly. I was really hoping it was instantaneous but it sounds like it was more likely an excruciating 15 minutes or so for most. I also learned that Vesuvius is still extremely active and believed to be overdue for a huge explosion. I imagine by now Italians have given it some serious leeway...or "lavaway"
