Can bed bugs swim? What about cockroaches?
According to the Orkin commercial (meant to scare the pants off you), cockroaches can live for 30 minutes submerged in water. The ones in Hawaii can fly.
@evamarie @th3j35t3r They have flying ones in Florida too. They're called "palmetto bugs."
The ordinary roaches up north can enter the house climbing up through water pipes, but salt would be a problem.
