In a world first, veterinary scientists at Université de Montréal have found a way to scan the brains of cats while they’re awake, using electrodes concealed under specially knitted wool caps. They have reported a new technique to keep the electrodes in place: by placing them in crocheted beanies.

The Methods section does not include a pattern for the hat. Had I been a reviewer, I would have required it!

@estherschindler That would last approximately .5 seconds on one of my cats.

@TetsuKaba @estherschindler Mine would either have it torn off and on the floor, or they’d be in full reverse mode, trying to back out of it for as many miles as it takes…
