This pervasiveness of technology in our lives has incredible sway over people. I see instances, every day, where people, with democratic values, just accept whatever is thrown at them, even if they did not vote for it because of the power of tech.
I don’t think tech is a bad thing, of course but it can influence people in ways that are harmful to society.

The silver lining to this exclusion is that those people may feel less obligated to toe the line when they see wrongdoing.
This is true in politics, as well.
