Hive mind: Name three children's/YA books that shaped your life.

Not in the sense of teaching you skills (e.g Dr Suess->reading) but rather imparting values that stayed with you.

YA more than children's books

@estherschindler I don’t know if it qualifies, I did start reading these in my early teens, the writers I remember really causing a shift in me, were the existentialist writers. Camus, Satre, Kafka and Dostoevsky.

Also, Thoreau and Whitman.
