Thanks for this article, which does not wholly convince me Thomas Lefroy was the inspiration for Mr. Darcy, but maybe partially so? In her letters to her sister Cassandra, Austen states that Mr. Darcy is perfect enough to only be created in one’s imagination.
P.S. I didn’t much care for “Becoming Jane”-:)
