@ecksmc I got off bluesky. Just deleted my account. Nothing is safe. I am considering all social media compromised by Putin's people, except CoSo.
No way to live, saying nothing is safe, that'll lead to some dark places - been there done that
That said I'm in a relatively "sane" country 😆
As for social media i see X as the threat really as in the biggest mainstream one - but mostly what is said on there originates from elsewhere
Like 4Chan, Gab, and other as well as other darker sites the more extreme stuff comes from there then ends up "watered" down on more mainstream sites
@elbutterfield if you are using public services and posting things in public timelines then off course unfriendlies could read them
Social media 101 - don't post anything you wouldn't want an enemy to read
When it boils down to it social media posts are being read, if publicly posted, by all sorts of government agencies, not just unfriendly ones, even our own countries
As for private, personal, communications goes try sticking to end 2 end encrypted services for that 😉
@ecksmc But seriously, what if "nothing is safe"? Isn't it better to assume that everything you text is being read by unfriendlies?
