In 1981, I borrowed $5 from a teacher chaperone on a field trip. Burger meal was $4 then. Somehow, over the course of 6 hours, out of $5, I spent almost $20 and had $12 when I got home. To this day, I have no idea how that happened. I understand getting too much change, but that's usually only a few cents, maybe a dollar or so, but $30 out of judy $5? I thought college kids were smart enough to handle basic math?
