Another fake MUSK act of 'generosity'. He proclaimed residents of Florida could have free Starlink for 30 days ($120) because of #Milton - turns out it was just the free trial everyone gets and you still have to purchase the fucking Starlink Receiver. Which btw also requires power.
@th3j35t3r its actually worse than just the normal 30 day free trial thingy
If you go for the deal, under the hurricane free 1 month trial, you can't return the equipment and cancel the contract you are automatically rolled into like the normal 1 month trial - customer's then need to keep paying the monthly subscription or a lump sum when cancelling subscription which is usually the full subscription price
According to the Starlink Helene page, new customers who qualify for free access will be automatically moved to a paid $120-a-month residential subscription tied to the location the terminal was set up for after 30 days.
Thr normal trial you can return the equipment and get a refund, refund of $400, the hurricane offer you can't & you are signed up for a monthly subscription automatically - hes hoping folk don't read the small print
@ecksmc lame @th3j35t3r
