@AmserJ a lot of sites are doing that its to stop AI tools scrapping snipits from their articles mainly

Asking folk to sign in assures them you're not an AI scrapper

And more sites will start doing it I'd say sooner rather than later

@ecksmc Maybe so but I’m sure the more TOS I have to agree to, the more rights I relinquish. I get plenty of news from other sites so I won’t miss it.
