interpol.int/News-and-Events/N

Operation First Light was conducted by police officers from 61 countries and targeted phishing, investment fraud, fake online shopping sites, romance scams, and impersonation scams, according to a statement by Interpol.

@ecksmc Soooo, did they get those pesky Nigerian Princes'?

@Kittiekatt53 seized suspects' real estate, high-end vehicles, expensive jewelry, and many other high-value items and collections & froze 6,745 bank accounts used for transferring money obtained through illegal operations.

So, mighta just had a Nigerian prince, or two, in the haul 😆

Namibia, for example, the police rescued 88 local youths who were forced into conducting scams so, that alone is a good win on a good day 😉

@ecksmc Woo Hoo! Hooray for the good taking out bad actors and rescuing people forced to work at these call centers.

@ACG2 indeed it was the rescued youths that stood out to me 😉
