No worries, the annual "let's pretend we care about how miserable you are" engagement surveys are just the ones I'm familiar with where it's not completely anonymous to the 3rd party but is aggragated anonymously for the company.
I trust that anonymity about as much as I trust browser data anonymous aggregation claims, but we had to complete them all the same, and they would blow off all the issues we raised every year all the same.

Is it run by a third party? (And is it an engagement survey?)
Sometimes it's anonymous* to the company, but in order to track who has answered and who has not, and to allow for the data to be aggregated and scrubbed, a third party deals with the actual survey.
*If you work for a small department, even that aggregation might not obscure a specific set of answers enough.
