Been on a war of the roses trip last 12+hrs fascinating time in history the white rose of house of York against the red rose of house of Lancaster
And In the end it was the House of Tudor that won the wars, so neither the white nor the red rose was victorious ultimately the both white and red roses fell....
@ecksmc The Wars of the Roses nerd in me just spontaneously combusted, I fear 😂
@chevalier26 😂😂
Have you watched "the white princess" TV show ?
It starts off with the Tudors rain after they win the war against the house of York, the white rose, and the princess of York having to marry Henry the 7th of house of Tudor
@ecksmc I have not! I’ll definitely have to check it out!
One of my favorite shows is the BBC’s version of Shakespeare’s historical plays called “The Hollow Crown”. It starts with the usurpation of Richard II and ends with Richard III’s death and the coronation of Henry VII. I think the first season is free on Roku TV if you’re interested 😃.
@chevalier26 yeah starring Benedict Cumberbatch and loads more hollow crown is a must watch on bbc iPlayer also
Another few the white queen - Three relentless women enter a power struggle to win the English throne by scheming, manipulating and seducing their way to become queens of the most powerful kingdom in the 15th century
Tudor hall - Thomas Cromwell rises from humble beginnings to become a close and trusted advisor to Henry VIII & Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light is the sequel

@ecksmc Sorry for all the replies; I keep thinking of more movies lol. Laurence Olivier also starred in a production of Richard III and it’s wonderful too. Can’t remember the release year.
