Nakba << No, the modern state of Israel didn't magically come into being in 1948.
Seeing a lot of "Nakba" posts around various sites, media outlets in uk, TV news in uk and loadsa people calling people "Nakba deniers"
Minded me of this long X thread, with loadsa info, that sent me down a rabbit hole last year

Sidenote:
There is also a good lecture on YouTube called "The Great Misinterpretation: How Palestinians View Israel" its 1+hrs long and worth a watch
by Haviv Rettig Gur, he explores the deep-rooted Palestinian perspective towards Israel and Jews, emphasizing the importance of understanding their historical narrative
The anti-Israel movement on college campuses, such as BDS, has roots in Soviet propaganda and Palestinian civil society
with Palestinian elites guiding the movement. Gur argues that the strategy is to weaken Israel from within and detach it from its external patron, which historically has been the United States. Palestinians have a long-standing belief that there is always an empire backing them up, and if they can disconnect America from Israel, they believe Israel will weaken or disappear
Make a brew and watch it
