My second grade teacher, Mrs. Getting, taught me a very valuable life lesson that I use to this day.

I told her I would work to improve my math scores, and she said, "I'm from Missouri, the Show Me state."

I thought, "Okay, this sounds stupid, but I'll bite." 😉

I asked what she meant by that, and she said, "It means don't tell me what you're going to do, show me what you've done."
