Flipboard has federated 1,000 magazines
with the new integration, each magazine now has its own native ActivityPub feed, making them discoverable to users on Mastodon and other federated social apps
the company will offer an opt-out option for anyone who prefers to keep their magazine exclusively on Flipboard.

@ecksmc And I always thought Flipboard was just another news reader, like Google News, but easier to read one handed and with wonky url redirects for all stories.
I'm going to have to explore the settings, and read some in the newly discovered Inside Flipboard.

it started out as news reader service like you say but went downhill fast imo
Flipboard plans to continue integrating the remaining active and public curators and their magazines with ActivityPub. The company also aims to launch a new version of its app, allowing magazine curators to interact with users on Mastodon by viewing and responding to comments, likes, and boosts.
