After the whole Taylor Swift pornographic deepfake fiasco, you'd think Google Bard might be a little more careful.

Google said, "we apply filters designed to avoid the generation of images of named people."

In other words you're not supposed to be able to generate images of famous people

one user on X (formerly Twitter) found out it, was surprisingly easy to generate an image of Taylor Swift

@ecksmc Making fake porn of non-famous people of course is fine.

@CoyoteConscious tbf the guy who made the swift pic from Bard didn't make porn

Google said they wouldn't allow Bard to generate any famous people in images

and Bard would need a pic of anyone who is not famous to generate an image porn or not

can't have "filters" for every single person

also > All images generated by Bard will be marked by SynthID, a watermarking tool developed by Google

@ecksmc I bet their image generator makes pictures of me without my knowledge or consent all the time.

@AskTheDevil

you are fair game though 😆

since the devil lived by no rules

@ecksmc It's true!

It does annoy me a bit that people I dislike might benefit from my benevolence, but it isn't a gift if you put strings attached, right?
