really bugs me that so many users now just post a URL
at least take a few seconds and say what's behind the URL
it's not that hard to do
@tgraph52 i don't think anyone does - sometimes you can hover over the wee card bellow the URL and see a description but not always certain outlets only
and just putting a hashtag or tags is meaningless also

It's great for everyone. On slow connections (holds up hand) it gives a mouseover text explaino. For sight-challenged, the screen reader tells them what's in the image
And it can be creative! Describe what's in the image and use some flair. Get editorial.
@ecksmc big agree. No hashtag, no "text", no nothing, what makes it worse that if I peek their profile and all of their posts are just shared links w/ nothing I just end up muting them (or depending on what they're sharing) I just block them 🤷♂️ .
