Facebook is trying to make its own version of twitter called threads.
I don't see it going anywhere, and even so, I'm perfectly happy here where I won't be monitized for all my worth.

it is a real possibility that it might actually thrive as they have decided to join the fediverse it won't be a standalone platform if they do

so, it is a possibility it is gonna happen - but there is push-back from others so, it might not happen
