it is set to expire with Chrome OS version 90

That means it is expected — but by no means guaranteed — to launch sometime between now and then without the flag

i did post this a while back but i didn't have it on my chrome OS

just enabled it myself now

and reading more into this i don't think i will be able to use it - old chromebook with no android app function

it seems chromebooks need android app function on since this feature will use google play services APK on both android and chromeOS to sync

i did enable the flag but nothing showing on my ChromeOS

no biggie for me as i prefer using Join android app/chromeOS extension which does the same thing but is fully encrypted with my own key

was just curious as to how it worked and stuff
