After my errand this morning, I swung past the polling station to get a feel for participation. Good golly Molly!! I’ve not EVER seen the amount of people in line to vote in this rural community. They are literally wrapped around the building and down the street!

I will be assisting those needing a ride to the polls in a little while. The 7 who have volunteered originally now are 10 plus two vans to help those with mobility concerns. Time adjustments are being made due to crowd size.

WOW!

@CherNohio there are just over 4000 in my town. local elections (the ones that you'd think would matter) usually get less than 1000 people voting.

@redenigma
Local elections generally have low turnout here as well. General elections have been good in the past with records set with big elections.

I just checked the live unofficial turnout for my county (not township) and it's presently 50.98% for 76 precincts. That is after four hours open. 87,958 voters, 44,845 ballots cast.

The Secretary of State said this morning Ohio is on track to break the record for this General Election.
