Ex-Mayor Nenshi joins NDP race; slams Smith's 'playground fights'
Former Calgary mayor Naheed Nenshi offers himself as the outsider who can build a broad coalition to defeat the UCP and defend core values of tolerance and inclusion.
We all got to know Nenshi during his press conferences about the flood of 2013. I don't know much about his politics but I do know he's an adult, decent, inclusive, and qualified.
Nenshi is a liberal at heart. I think Notley was moving in that direction a bit.
We thought he would be the liberal leader here so NDP will work.
I am voting for him.
Could that stop him from being elected leader?
It will be a competition I think there are 6 running. There are a lot of members who don't like anyone parachuting in so hard to tell at this point.
I know he has a large following of people in different groups.
I think it is the only way to get them elected he is very witty guy and has taken on the Take back Alberta guy before.
We know Danelle will have to comment :)
