We never really did sylvan lake. Hubby wasn't a beach boy.
That was our summer retreat. A week at some ramshackle cabin in town with a name like "Grin and Bear it."
Not much beach at Sylvan.

I can recall hubby taking me there and saying this isn't a beach. I was so used to wasaga and georgian bay.
We used to go to B.C. for long weekends.
We had a friend with a cottage on Blind Bay.
I always wanted to move to the interior for the water but hubby's career was here.
should add we could not afford a cottage either.
I don't know Blind Bay.
Everyone wants to move to the interior for the water and the mild winters and the fruit and the wine and and and.

Not much comparison. We had no idea. All we had was Sylvan and Pine lakes.
Richer families had places in B.C. on Windermere or Shuswap.
