Yes! It is suppose to be -15C in Edmonton. We will be glued to the tube for it! Go Canada Go!π¨π¦
I have been paying attention to the results but haven't been able to watch games as yet. I appreciate you posting and keeping me clued in.
I watch whatever one is shown I am a soccer/fubol fan it is the only sport I will watch. We are thrilled to see Canada move up the ranking ladder we have some really amazing young players who will be around for a long time.
The odds are long, but it is great to see them and the sport getting some real attention here.
Edmonton will be thrilled to see their boy on home turf. Hoping the weather (yikes, that's chilly) is to their advantage.
Normally cold would be an advantage imho, but at -15C frostbite for bare skin is a disadvantage for all. I have seen soccer played in snow thou.
Thanks will look for that one. We coached soccer back in the olden days because no one knew how to coach it. My son was an elite soccer player when young so I learned to love the game. I just appreciate the awesome ball handling such. Such a great game all you need is a ball any kid can play.
Most don't like it for lack of goals imho. So many want instant gratification I think thou I don't like american football it is too slow for me. My son in the end choose football over soccer. My little men (grandsons) are hockey players. My hubby likes me liking soccer because it is a sport I will watch with him.
I got over that by watching the series. You learn how big each and every goal is. Some of the moves required to make a goal are incredible.
Some of the stories of Mega stars who came from poverty some could not afford a ball. One superstar was so poor his coach made him shin guards out of wood. I love how anyone can become a star regardless of their situation.
@disk4mat
It is a great game and for someone brought up on ice hockey, the speed is appealing.
