I have disagreed with McFate a number of times and it was not difficult to live to tell the tale.

You have to understand that he is sincere, and if he disagrees with you, he sincerely disagrees with you.
And he is smart. More than smart, he is intelligent AND smart.
If you try to persuade him with rhetoric you are using the wrong tools because McFate is more of a data driven kind of guy.

McFate is a valuable guy to know and an opportunity to see other viewpoints.
