I miss the days when trucks were for work and for hauling stuff. 🤷🏼♂️
@dauphin87 i don't see why auto companies can't make soccer dad pickups with all the luxury shit, AND stripped down actual work vehicles at a reasonable price point. there IS a market for both
@redenigma When you consider how many configurations of trucks there are currently, it sure would make sense. I miss my old 77 Chevy Scottsdale.
@dauphin87 i could use a farm pickup. i don't need a cushy suspension, heated seats, a surround stereo or a back seat. i need an 8 foot bed & the ability to get out in the woods.
my first vehicle was a 73 Datsun pickup. no radio, no AC, manual transmission, bench seat. i put almost 500k miles on that thing. replaced the floor in the cab 3 times, but the bed never rotted through.
Right?
I’ll never understand the transition from work vehicle to luxury vehicle. Well, maybe I do; carmakers saw a market and they’re exploiting it.
And oddly, many of those same owners who drive 5+ liter hemi trucks costing >$70k claim electric vehicles are too expensive and that’s why they’ll *never* drive an EV…
@dauphin87 suburbanites ruin everything...
