Twice a month they have a pop up food pantry here. Sometimes they have frozen shrimp, taco meat, ground beef, and pork chops. Lots of dry and canned goods as well. It's all surplus as far as I understand it. I just go there and load up. It's a real blessing for those living on fixed incomes. No one should ever go hungry in this country.
That's great we have a pantry store with supermarket donations, no paperwork needed. Take what you need.
Also I've noticed free pantry like the little libraries. We've had one in our tiny town for a few years. It's always filled with donations. ( dry goods and such ).
@dauphin87 The university had the same -pop up of free food for students and community.
Many students donβt have money for food. :(
