Dividing people into "Us" and "Them" is such an effective tactic.

In fact, there is no "Us", we're all "Them". There are varying degrees of agreement and commonality, but in the end we're all individuals.

We spend far too much time and energy trying to debunk the concept of "Them" being bad. We're getting it backwards - we should embrace our "Themness" and debunk the concept of "Us".

Let me be the first to say that Jews "debunking" their own "us-ness" to "embrace" the "them-ness" of Nazis doesn't seem a good strategy to me.

What am I missing here?
